Daniel Island All-Stars

We are from the small, picture-perfect town of Daniel Island, within the City of Charleston, deep in the low-country of South Carolina. In just four short years Daniel Island Baseball has gone from nonexistent to STATE CHAMPIONS!

 

Four years ago, with the completion of Governors Park, Daniel Island Baseball finally had a home. The early years were difficult but the commitment from players, coaches and parents was strong. Our first All-Star Tournament resulted in 0 wins for either age group. The second year resulted in the first ever All-Star win for a Daniel Island Team, as the 9-10 All-Star team beat James Island. The next year, the 9-10 All-stars won 2 games and the 11-12 All-stars won their first.

 

• This year both age groups fielded our strongest group of players ever.

• Both 9-10 and 11-12 won every game in this year’s tournament, a simply staggering feat!

• The 11-12 All-stars allowed only 1 run in the entire tournament and scored over 30 runs, highlighted by an out of the park Gland Slam in the first game.

 

All and all it was a dominating performance and all of Charleston and specifically Daniel Island should be beaming with pride. Now we are on to the next level, The Cal Ripken Southeast Regionals! The 11-12 team will play in Glen Allen, Virginia during the second week of July.
